A dance — it's always OK to say no. No justification, no pressure, no hard feelings. Consent also applies during the dance: if something makes you uncomfortable (closeness, type of move, duration), you can stop at any time. Your partner must respects that immediately.
Code of conduct.
Swing In Paris is a space for dance, sharing and respect. Participation and registering to the event requires explicit agreement to this code of conduct.
02Mutual respect
Swing In Paris welcomes all identities, gender expressions, sexual orientations, origins, religions, skill levels and body types. Any disparaging comment based on these criteria is strictly prohibited. In particular: no remarks about another dancer's level, weight or appearance, neither on the floor nor off it.
03Zero tolerance for harassment
Any harassing behaviour (verbal, physical, sexual, online) results in immediate exclusion from the event, with no refund. Depending on severity, a report to the authorities may be filed.
Unsolicited contact, persistence after a refusal, comments about someone's body, non-consensual photos / videos are all included.
04Swing In Paris team · how to report
At least one member of the Swing In Paris team will bve present during the day / night. You can: - Approach a team member directly - Write to contact@swing-in-paris.com Any reported information is handled confidentially. Mediation is fast, exclusion immediate when needed.
05Alcohol and substances
Le Méridien has a bar during the nights. Alcohol consumption is tolerated as long as it stays under control. The use of illegal substances is strictly forbidden and leads to immediate exclusion. If someone around you seems to have had too much to drink and is losing their informed consent, alert the Swing In Paris team.
06Photos & videos
Official photographers wear a visible badge. As a participant, do not post photos / videos of other dancers without their explicit consent. This is even more important for underage dancers.
07Commitment on signing
By registering for Swing In Paris, you confirm that you have read and accepted this code of conduct. You commit to respecting it throughout the event, on and off the floor, on site and online.
